Sponsor Us

Get your business in front of thousands of local Durham residents who rely on Durham UK Weather for daily forecasts and updates. Sponsoring our site means more visibility, more trust, and more customers — all while supporting a trusted local community resource.

Welcome to the fine print—don’t worry, we’ll keep it plain, simple, and as dry as a sunny day in Durham (if you believe in such mythical things).

We might talk about the weather too, but that’s kind of the point.

Thanks for considering supporting a local weather nut and helping keep Durham’s skies under watch – even the grey ones.

By sponsoring Durham UK Weather, you’re agreeing to the following terms. If anything here makes you frown, squint, or scratch your head, just drop us a message. We don’t bite, and we’re always happy to chat.

1. What You’re Getting (The Good Stuff)

When you sponsor Durham UK Weather, you’re getting exposure (the good kind) on our website and/or social channels. This might include your name, logo, and link displayed in agreed spots, such as:
– The homepage
– Specific pages
– Blog posts
– Social media mentions
– Email shoutouts

We don’t promise BBC levels of reach, but we’ve got a loyal bunch of weather nerds, local legends, and curious folk who check in often. Currently, the site has 1,000+ pages and posts, so that’s 1,000+  opportunities for your link to be seen.

2. Sponsorship Period

  • Sponsorship runs for 6 months (or 12 months for discounted rates).

  • Easy payment by direct link.

  • No automatic renewals — we’ll simply offer you the chance to renew when your term ends.

  • First come, first served for available slots!

Your sponsorship runs for the length of time we agree on before payment—be it a month, quarter, or full year. You’ll get a reminder before it ends, so we can renew or part ways like grown-ups.

If you fancy a short-term promo for an event or sale, we can do that too. Just let us know.

As a guide, £20 per month will get you a link on every post and page.

3. What We Expect in Return

To keep this little weather ship running, we charge a modest fee for sponsorship. All costs will be made clear before anything goes live—no sneaky charges or hidden clouds here.

Payments are typically upfront. We’re not Barclays. I’m a bloke with a weather website.

You can pay by direct bank transfer. I’ll send you a link for the total amount when we agree on the terms. If you want to pay in Eccles Cakes, I might be open to negotiation (but don’t quote me on that).

What We Don’t Do

We won’t:
– Link to dodgy websites (you know the type I mean)
– Display adult content, gambling, or miracle diet pills
– Promise SEO miracles or overnight fame
– Allow you to edit our content or stats

We also reserve the right to remove your sponsorship early if it turns out you’re involved in anything shady or just plain nasty. We like to keep things friendly, local, and above board.

5. Renewals and Cancellation

We believe in keeping things simple — no hidden fees, no sneaky lock-ins. After your sponsorship term ends, you can choose to renew or walk away, no pressure.

If you change your mind, just let us know. If it’s within 7 days of going live, we can sort a refund (minus any work already done). After that, refunds aren’t usually offered, but we’re human, so talk to us.

We might cancel if the site has to go offline or we’re forced to stop due to something outside our control (like alien invasion, or if Durham finally becomes too sunny to warrant a weather site).

6. Logo & Content Usage

You’re giving us permission to use your logo and brand name during the sponsorship period, just for display purposes. We won’t stick it on T-shirts or start selling mugs with your face on them (unless you really want us to).

You’re responsible for providing high-quality images or copy if we agree to feature them. If you send us a pixelated logo from 1998, we’ll have a word. Preferably we’d like no bigger than 400×400 pixel images.

7. Transparency & Honesty

We’ll always label sponsored content clearly. We won’t mislead our readers. If your business sells umbrellas, we’re not going to pretend it’s a sunscreen shop.

Likewise, we won’t be held liable if people don’t flock to your website or buy your stuff. We’ll give you a platform, but the magic bit is up to you.

8. Let’s Keep It Friendly

We’re based in Durham, not a corporate high-rise in London. We’re real people who care about the weather, the community, and helping local businesses or online friends grow.

If something’s not working, tell us. If you’re happy, tell others.

We reserve the right to update these terms as needed, but we’ll give you a nudge if we do.
