The Eagle-eyed among you may have noticed a ‘Live Durham Weather’ option has appeared in the header bar.
Clicking this will take you to the following page views.
You’ll be able to see the current live conditions from the weather station in Durham. You can see the current temperature, the ‘feels like’ temperature, the dew point, todays rainfall, the humidity and the barometric pressure. The exact location of the station is also displayed on a map.
The Dashboard
Also displayed is a weather forecast for the Next hours of the day
A ten day forecast is available, which will display the weather-type, the amount of rain expected, the maximum and minimum temperatures expected, the wind direction and strength range.
There is also a graphic representing the sunset times; it also gives the time of solar noon, the total hours of daylight as well as the daylight time remaining. There is an indication of when dawn begins and dusk ends.
Finally the phases of the Moon are displayed, with todays phase, then the dates of the next New Moon and Full Moon in the calendar.
The Charts
Available charts here are for Temperature, Humidity, Rainfall and Atmospheric Pressure.
You can select different ranges to display: – Today, Last 24 hours, Week, Last 7 days, Month, Last 30 days and Year. Hovering the cursor over the chart will show the data from that point in time.
