Thunderstorms again broke out widely between the 24th and 27th July 1901, and the one which struck London during the afternoon and evening of the 2th was particularly bad, and accompanied by hail almost 2cm across. At Camden Square, 72mm fell, most of it in 150 minutes, and in the Kings Cross district, 300 people sought temporary accommodation after their homes were flooded; the London Underground was put out of action for 48hrs due to deep floodwater.weather station
