While I was poking about on YouTube looking for Jack Scott videos, I rediscovered this series by Richard Hammond (of Top Gear fame). It’s called ‘Wild Weather’ and is worth a watch. Enjoy! New Videos – Aurora Borealis + Cloudscapes I’ve recently started creating videos on YouTube centred around Weather, and here’s the very first one that I put together – an awesome compilation of Aurora shots. We’re not quite far enough North to see the Northern Lights on a regular basis, but it shows itself occasionally when conditions are favourable. Anyhow, enjoy! “The Great Global Warming Swindle” 2007

This was a video produced by Channel 4 in 2007, supposedly debunking Global Warming/Climate Change. Discussion ensued on The North East Forum at the time. This was in 2007 and the warming has got worse since then. It’s an interesting discussion and fairly typical of arguments at the time. Here’s a transcript. A Storm Surge – November 9th 2007

HD Video of giant waves on the seafront at Seaham, Co. Durham. A strong tidal surge in the North Sea resulted in higher than normal tides. A combination of strong winds, extremely low pressure and a storm surge can raise the sea level around Eastern England by up to 2 metres. This footage was filmed on 9th November 2007 by Brittonian.
